Boys & Girls Clubs of Council Bluffs
The mission of Boys and Girls Club of Council Bluffs is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, healthy and caring members of society. It is our vision to be a leader in youth development on the local and national level.

Florence M. Lakin Child Development Center
The mission of the Florence. M. Lakin Child Development Center is to provide immediate access to safe, affordable, Montessori-Inspired, trauma-informed childcare to support the families in our Community and at the MICAH House. Serving children ages 6 weeks to 6 years, the center is reserved for MICAH House children first, and secondly to community members.
We use a combined curriculum of the Montessori philosophy with a strong focus on Trauma Informed Care and Practices. The Montessori philosophy focuses on educating the whole child in all areas of life through hands-on, child-led, sensory-based activities. Using the Montessori method of education provides us the space to include trauma informed practices like providing a consistent daily routine, choice-based curriculum that gives the child a sense of empowerment and agency.

MICAH House
The mission of MICAH House is to provide a safe and nurturing environment with support services for families and individuals experiencing the crisis of homelessness. MICAH House’s will help to end homelessness by restoring hope to families and individuals while preserving family unity; empowering all to live independently and free from the crisis of homelessness through community support and collaboration.
